The next update to e-z Cert contains a package of changes aimed at improving the quality of applications submitted by exporters. We are aware, through feedback provided by Chambers of Commerce, that supporting documents and evidence of foreign origin can sometimes be forgotten. In a series of changes to e-z Cert, version 6.3.0 will begin to address this issue by emphasising how supporting documentation will be supplied to your chamber. Please see the screenshots below and accompanying notes for further information in preparation for the changes.

The mandatory field list has been updated to reflect ‘Additional Requirements’ of applications, outside of the fields on the form. See Fig 1.
All applications containing a certifiable document require Supporting Evidence and, in addition, only if origin outside of the UK has been selected, the EC Certificate of Origin will require Foreign Origin Evidence.
The screenshot above (Fig 2) shows the list of options available, one of which must be selected. Each option is accompanied by field help in the right hand column.
: As indicated above with the information icon the user does not have to select ‘Uploaded Document’ in advance from the document selection screen. e-z Cert will automatically add this option when a document is uploaded.
The foreign origin process (Fig 3) is the same apart from having an additional option for exporters who are the manufacturer of the goods.
Moving on to the A.TR document (Fig 4), exporters must now select between supplying the Customs Entry Reference and EAD/SAD Copy 3 document or providing an Exporter Statement. Both options allow a copy of the document to be uploaded.
These changes will be released on Monday 23rd January between 5pm and 5.30pm, during which the e-z Cert website will be unavailable.
