Arab Certificates of Origin are managed by a network of Chambers who work with the Arab British Chambers of Commerce (ABCC) to complete the documents. You can obtain your Arab Certificates through a local chamber of commerce who is either an Arab Main Agent Chamber or an Arab Sub Agent Chamber, who will handle the process for you.
Certified Arab Certificates of Origin
Arab Certificates of Origin which require certification can be produced using e-z Cert. These documents can be applied for using the e-z Cert eXpress service or the Standard service, and will be stamped by the Arab Main Agent Chamber and by the Arab British Chamber of Commerce. You will then be able to print the documents with stamps and signatures in the usual way.
Legalised Arab Certificates of Origin
Applications for Arab documents requiring legalisation can also be applied for using e-z Cert, but only the Standard service can be used. Having submitted your application to your agent chamber, they will check it and if they are satisfied that it is correct, they will forward it to ABCC. This can normally be done electronically to save time, and ABCC will print the document and apply their stamps, and they will then take it to the relevant Embassy to complete the legalisation process. The document is then returned by post to the Arab Main Agent Chamber who will apply their stamps and will post the legalised documents to you.
You should contact your chamber to find out how you can obtain your legalised documents.
Note: If it is acceptable by your importer, then you can use the EC Certificate of Origin for certain Arab countries. If this is used then you must select the Arab Declaration disclaimer when adding manufacturers to your application.
The distribution for copies of the Arab Certificate of Origin is as follows:
Original Copy - sent to the customer
Green Copy - retained by the exporter
Blue Copy - retained by the chamber
