EMCS Online
EMCS Online
  EMCS Online
EMCS is European electronic control system which is a legal requirement in all member states. If you are shipping alcoholic, energy or tobacco products you need to comply but submitting your shipment details online.

i2i provides online software that improves the process of submitting EMCS movements by offering a complete management system, which has been recognised by HMRC up to the current Phase 2 (FS2) level.

Our software complies with;

Phase 1 (FS0) released 1 April 2010
This stage introduced EMCS to record the dispatch and receipt of duty suspended excise goods between EU Member States using an electronic Administrative Document (eAD). Not all Member States, including the UK, were able to dispatch duty suspended excise goods using EMCS and paper AADs and manual receipts continued until 1 January 2011.

Phase 2 (FS1) released 31 December 2010
Since 1 January 2011, all UK traders have been using EMCS to dispatch or receive duty suspended excise goods to and from the EU. Intra-UK movements that previously required a W8 form or commercial equivalent must also use EMCS - except for movements of energy products or those meeting the criteria for simplified arrangements. Consignors can now cancel a movement or change the destination using EMCS. Use of the eAD document was mandatory from 31st December 2010 although some EU Member States (including the UK) were able to send an eAD before that date.

Phase 3 (FS2) released 1 January 2012
From January 2012 changes to EMCS allow traders to send and receive a notification message when a consignment is either incorrect or incomplete. Traders can also split a consignment of energy products when they are going to more than one destination and include the new IE8 message.

Our EMCS solution is available online and also integrated with our current products providing an easy solution for your EMCS requirements.

EMCS - Excise Movement Control System
Excise Movement and Control System (EMCS) is a computer system which captures and processes information in respect of all movements of excise goods in duty suspension within the European Union (EU). On 1 January 2011 EMCS replaced the paper Administrative Accompanying Document (AAD) and paper W8 for intra-UK duty suspended movements (except for energy products and movements eligible for simplified procedures under Part 9 of The Excise Goods (Holding, Movement and Duty Point) Regulations 2010).

NES - National Export System
The National Export System (NES) is a computer-based system which enables export declarations to be made electronically, replacing manual processing.

INTRASTAT - European Statistical Reporting
VAT-registered businesses that trade in goods with other European Union (EU) member states are required to provide details of these transactions which are used for statistical purposes. Intrastat is the system used to collect these statistics.

IPR - Inward Processing Releif
Inward Processing (IP) allows businesses to obtain relief from customs duties and import VAT on goods that are imported from outside the European Union (EU) to be processed and exported outside the EU. By reducing the cost of imported inputs, IP places EU businesses on an equal footing with businesses outside the EU. Sole traders, partnerships and incorporated bodies established in any EU country can use IP subject to authorisation by HM Revenue & Customs. It can be used even if you're acting as a representative for another body established outside the EU. Without representation, non-EU bodies can only use IP for non-commercial imports.

ICS - Import Control System
Administered by HMRC, Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP) is an electronic customs system for imported third country goods. It allows faster release of goods from countries that are not members of the European Community at the frontier or inland, the use of simpler customs declarations and cash flow benefits to importers
